April 11, 2009 Easter Bazaar: The Daughters of Ukraine will be having their annual bazaar starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11. Delicious Easter pasky of various sizes and frozen varenyky will be sold. A delicious lunch, sweets and coffee will also be available. April 12, 2009. Lenten Presentation. The Mission Committee invites everyone to attend this bilingual lecture presented by Daniel Sup on the topic/ “Communication”. The Mission Committee is planning another presentation for May 3, 2009.

April 26, 2009 Easter Luncheon (Sviachene) will be held in the Parish Hall following the Divine Liturgy. Everyone is invited to attend and bring their friends.

May 31, 2009, Sunday Annual Parish Memorial Luncheon At the end of the Liturgy, a Panachyda in memory of all deceased members of the parish and of the Brotherhood Misericordia Christiana will be followed by a luncheon prepared by the Brotherhood. We invite everyone to attend.

Green Sunday Memorial Services. At Mount Royal Cemetery - Saturday, June 6, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parish Monument. For graveside services between June 2 -5 inclusive, please phone Fr. Volodymyr at 514-727–2236 to arrange date and time.

For Hawthorndale Cemetery, please arrange a time for Sunday, June 14 with Fr. Volodymyr.

June 13, 2009 Benefit Evening. Oselia & Chapel Project Fundraiser – Everyone is invited for a fun-filled evening on Saturday, June 13, 2009. The evening will feature a supper, silent auction, concert by children from Metropolitan Ilarion Saturday School, a chance to win great raffle prizes and live music by Orchestra Richka.

All proceeds of the evening will go towards of the chapel at the Camp and renovations to the camp building (installation of a shower and toilet in the main hall).

July 27, 2009 Celebration of the Baptism of Ukraine. We will celebrate the Baptism of Ukraine at the Camp. The Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the blessing of the water, lunch and a concert by the campers. Bus transportation from the Cathedral will be available, departing at 8 a.m. and returning at approximately 5 p.m.

Garage Sale – The Camp Committee is organizing a garage sale on Saturday, September 26, 2009 beginning at 10 a.m. Anyone wishing to reserve a table ($25) can do so by contacting Adrianna Zerebecky at 514-331-7094. If you have any items in good condition which you would like to pass on, you may drop them off at the priest’s residence (garage door) 6270 -12th Avenue. Proceeds go to the Camp.

Ukrainian School of Metr. Ilarion: If you wish to enrol your child(ren) aged 5-15, you may do so by calling Fr. Volodymyr (514-727-2236) or Dobr. Ludmilla Popowich (514-366-3684). Within the parish, we also have a dance group and a bandura school.

Bilingual Service: The Divine Liturgy on the last Sunday of the month has been designated by the Parish Council as a bilingual service, i.e. the readings from the Apostles & the Gospels, the Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the prayer behind the Amvon & some litanies will be recited in both Ukrainian & English. This is for those of you who are not so fluent in Ukrainian & in this way we hope this will encourage you to come to Church so that we can pray together as a community of believers.
